//:Commercial work for BUG
In 2006 we did research on 3d stereoscopic renders for use at Norway's digital cinema, this was the first of several tests showing the 3d effect in modern cinemas.
The films was rendered with two cameras and by using a polarizing filter with active glasses , rather then the old red-green glasses we got accurate color-reproduction and good 3d effects.
This was the first test out of several, but i came to like the look and the feel of the little movie, alltough there are several errors in the movie (like at the end of the clip there is a fish coming out of the ground) aswell as the motion of the fish. (The fish-animation is all particle based so the motion is rather weird at times :) )
I did the shot in about a week, everything was modeled in max, rendered with mental ray at 1080p and comp in Fusion5. Since i would need to render out two seperate cameras for the 3d effect, i did most of the stuff in 3d and just some touch-ups and corrections in fusion.
