//:Personal project
I was asked by Eyeon Software to hold a few demo sessions at IBC2007 and showcase some of my work. I was unfortunatly unable to bring some of my latest commercial projects so I decieded to create this shot specifically for the IBCÂ show in about 4 days.
The idea was to show how far I could take just one still image and transform it into a completed animtaed shot, whithout using any external applications.

This is the original frame i took with my canon350d camera before I brought it into fusion for processing.
The initial idea was to use only fusion for everthing, but i had to showcase some of fusion abilities to import fbx geometry, so i started to model a rough low-poly building in 3dsmax which I then imported into fusion.

Instead of using photoshop, painted and added all the dirt on the image inside fusion on the 3k still image, so I could go back and tweak everthing and reposition stuff as I went along.
Once that was done I projected the image onto the geometry and voila' , a nice camera projection scene.
So now it's all about adding visual complexity to this scene, layers upon layers with particles scattered all over the place. Including junk falling from the hole, sparks on the inside of the hole along with roof debris falling. Dirt and debris scattered around in the scene based on particle systems in fusion. And finally all the smoke elements, scene smoke, main pillar smoke, explosion trail smoke, sparks in the air etc etc.
Here's a image that shows parts of the comp and the scene :

Total rendertime for the project on a dual quadcore with 4gb of ram was 9 minutes :)
The entire project is available for DOWNLOAD on vfxpedia for the public, so if you find this helpfull please drop me a line.
